Spring Carnival

Our Annual Spring Carnival

Parents, Teachers, and the Community come together to support education! This is PTA's ONLY fundraiser at Locke Hill Elementary. The Carnival Committee is making all the necessary preparations to make this Spring Carnival the best one yet! There will be entertainment, music, games, food, carnival rides, and our Silent Auction!

Our Spring Carnival is designed for all ages. We will have rides such as: Tubs of Fun, Trackless Train, Swinging Pirate Ship, Rock Wall, and bounce houses.

Traditional carnival goodies such as burgers, hot dogs, nachos, snow cones, popcorn, and cold drinks will keep everyone refreshed and ready for action!

Don't forget that our volunteers are what makes our Spring Carnival a success! We have such a great volunteer support group composed of parents, friends, and middle and high school students. It is a great (and VERY FUN) way to serve the community! With so many games and activities, we rely heavily on the helping hands of our volunteers. This year, we are hoping to get new parent volunteers. The carnival provides an opportunity to help new parents interact with other class parents, PTA members, teachers, and the school principal.

While the Spring Carnival provides fun and entertainment for the entire family, it is important people know that our Spring Carnival is PTA's  largest source of funding for field trips and student programs at Locke Hill Elementary. The proceeds collected on this day fund programs such as: Family Night, Field trips, bike rodeo, 5th grade t shirts and reception, Watch DOGS, and supplies for classrooms.

A three-time former Watch D.O.G.S volunteer, Edgar Munoz, had something to say about his experience. "What can I say, it's just a rewarding experience! You have all these developing minds that are looking up to you to learn something about how to become better students, better kids. I am just glad I was able to give students a boost on their self-esteem, and made them feel the importance of staying in school."
